Mrs. Matilda Whitt, one of Union township’s first and oldest inhabitants, died at her home Saturday, April 13, and was interred at the Jefferson cemetery the following day. She leaves one son, Griffy, and other near relatives to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Matilda Whitt, one of the old time residents of the north part of Union township, died Sunday morning. Cause, dropsy. No further particulars have been furnished to us.

Patterson and East Union

Matilda Whitt died on the night of the 13th, and was buried the 15th at the Jefferson cemetery. Dropsy was the cause of death.
