Death of Paul Rhodes

Paul Leroy Rhodes, a native of Madison county, born September 4, 1896 at Memorial Hospital. He was 77 years of age.

Mr. Rhodes was the son of William Cyrus and Mary Elizabeth Hutton Rhodes. He was married to Edith Ann Harmon of Adel in October of 1916. The couple's only child, George, died at the age of six.

They lived in Adel for several years, residing the last twelve years in Winterset.

Surviving Mr. Rhodes are two brothers, William W. Rhodes of Santa Ana, California and Jess A. Rhodes of Winterset and two sisters, Mrs. T. N. (Bessie) Linge of Lorimor and Mrs. Arthur (Hattie) Strong of Winterset.

Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his wife on March 28, 1972, his parents, 3 sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were conducted from Fisher Funeral Home in Adel, Sunday, October 28, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Adel.

Masonic rites were performed by Evening Star Lodge Number 43.
