SHIRLEY JEAN SMITH Dies at Iowa City

Shirley Jean Smith, age 22, of 419 West Summit St. in Winterset, died last Friday, July 7, at University Hospitals in Iowa City, following an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of this community, Miss Smith was born Nov. 16, 1944, the daughter of Harold E. and Lola Mary Bradshaw Smith. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are her parents, a grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Smith of St. Charles; a sister, Sharon, at home; and a brother, Dean Smith of Mason City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral services for Miss Smith were held Tuesday afternoon from Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, with Mr. Russell Speer officiating. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
