James F. Johnson, for many years a resident of Webster township, in this county, where his family grew up, where his first wife died, and where he remarried, died a few days ago at the home of his son, H. F. Johnson, of Dunlap, Grundy county, Missouri. In 1889 Mr. Johnson removed to Barton county, Kansas, where he resided about two years. He again removed, going to Adair county, Missouri, where his second wife died. After that he made his home with his son. At the time of his death Mr. Johnson was in his eighty-fourth year.
