Calvin Edgar, of Union Township, died Sunday Last. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Edgar, and about eighteen years of age.

Chips and Whetstones

Calvin, the 17 year-old son of R. A. Edgar, living three miles east of town, died last Sunday at 2 o’clock p.m. He was a good Christian boy, the pride of the home. A few hours before his death he sat up in bed and sang “Why do you wait, dear brother,” through from beginning to end. Since Mr. Edgar moved to this county, ten years ago, he has lost his wife and two children.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
