Services for Mary Emma Reither, 84, a former Truro resident who died May 22 at the West View Care Center in Indianola, were held Friday, May 25 at the Kale Funeral Home, Truro, with the Rev. James Patrick of Indianola officiating. Burial was at the New Virginia Cemetery.
Born in Madison County Oct. 4, 1899, she was the daughter of James and Mary Seams Cox. In 1918, she was married to Boyd Reither. She was a member of the Broadhorn Church and the Broadhorn Ladies Aid.
Survivors include daughters, Dortha Bowlin of Des Moines and Darina Woolery and husband Granville of Truro; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, three sisters and five brothers.
