Services for Mildred E. Smith, 86, Winterset, who died Dec. 21, 1985, at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Monday Dec. 23 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Burial was at the Clarke Cemetery in Madison County.
Born in Madison County Feb. 1, 1899, she was the daughter of James and Mary Emma Thomson Rogers. She was a housewife and lived here most of her lifeime.
On Feb. 1,1928, she was married to Ellis C. Smith of Des Moines.
Several nieces survive including Dorine Westerly of Indianola, Lois Scovel and Mrs. Gene Smith both of Lorimor.
Preceding her in death were her husband and her parents.
