1963FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT RED OAK
Mrs. Robert Reiley of Red Oak, the former Dorothy Danforth of Winterset, died at her home in Red Oak Thursday, June 27. She was 61 years of age.
Mrs. Reiley was found dead at her home by her 17-year-old son, Robert. The county medical examiner said death resulted from a heart attack.
Mrs. Reiley was born in Winterset Jan. 11, 1902, a daughter of Fred and Edna Danforth. She was married her in 1940 to Robert J. Reiley, Red Oak attorney. He preceded her in death in 1961.
She had been serving as Montgomery county relief director in Red Oak since last May, a position she had previously filled during World War II. Following the war she had been employed at Union Carbide Consumer Products company at Red Oak.
She is survived by her son, Robert Reiley; and by a brother, Fred Danforth of Compton, Calif.
Funeral services were held July 1 at Red Oak, in charge of the Rev. Curtis Lindahl. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery there.
