Victoria Reed, Urbandale

Victoria Reed, 48 of Urbandale, died of cancer April 8, 2004, at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, at the First Assembly of God Church in Des Moines with Pastor John Palmer officiating.

Victoria Reed was born July 4, 1955, in Des Moines to Joseph Peter and Mary Darlene (Ricketts) Costanzo. A 1973 graduate of W.D.M. Valley High School, she attended Iowa State University, later graduating from the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines. Following graduation from beauty school, Victoria worked for 25 years as a hair stylist. She later became a commercial real estate agent, working for Ruhl & Ruhl Commercial Real Estate Company. On June 28, 1986, she was united in marriage to Dan Mark Reed in Des Moines. A lifetime resident of the Des Moines area, she was a member of First Assembly of God Church, where she served on women's ministry boards and the Missions Board.

She was preceded in death by her father and her paternal grandparents, Joseph Peter and Mary Theresa (Poles) Costanzo, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Dan of Urbandale; four children, Rachel, Joel, Mary and Joseph, all at home; her mother, Mary Costanzo of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Carmella Hamre of Clarkesville, Tenn.; and six brothers, Joseph Costanzo and Charles Costanzo of West Des Moines, John Costanzo of Arlington, Texas, Christopher Costanzo of Reno, Nev., and Nicholus Costanzo and Dino Costanzo, both of Des Moines.

Memorial constribution may be directed to the Victoria Costanzo Reed Missions Fund in care of the First Assembly of God Church in Des Moines.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Truro & Osceola.
