Services for Linda L. Reed, 39, were held Tues., Nov. 6 at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church under the direction of Grace Chapel Church, Waterloo. Mrs. Reed died Fri., Nov. 2 of cancer, at the Hospice Unit of Covenant Center in Waterloo.

Mrs. Reed was born November 30, 1950, the daughter of Gerald C. and Frances L. (Hewitt) Bek. She married Larry F. Reed on June 10, 1972 in Winterset. She received a B.S. in nursing from the University of Iowa in 1973 and was a charter member of Grace Chapel Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Ann Elizabeth Reed of Waterloo; her mother, Mrs. Frances Bek of Winterset; four sisters, Jeri Drake and Denise Kavanaugh, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., Karen Stalheim of Indianapolis, Ind. and Vanna Shaw of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Private family burial was at the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Linda L. Reed Memorial Scholarship Fund at Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy or the American Cancer Society.
