ARTHUR THORNBRUGH

Arthur Thornbrugh, son of J. C. and Emma Thornbrugh, was born on July 24, 1878, on a farm near Winterset, Iowa, and died at the Methodist hospital , Des Moines, Feb. 14, 1916.

He resided with his parents and faithfully assisted them in he arduous duties of farm life. He was an obedient and dutiful son and popular with the young folks of his community.

The Thornbrugh family being a large one, he left home soon after his majority and went to the far west to build up his own fortune. He was married to Miss Lusetta Crawford at Boulder, Colo., Feb. 19, 1907. They first set up housekeeping in Denver, where they resided two years, then they moved to Kansas City, and afterward to Valley Junction, Iowa, where they remained until his death. He has been considerably afflicted for the past two years, but his fatal illness was of but short duration and his death came peacefully after a few weeks of suffering.

Among his immediate relatives who mourn his death are his devoted wife, father and mother, five sisters and three brothers.

The funeral occurred from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sale Darnall of Winterset, Iowa, Friday, Feb. 18th, and interment was at the Baptist cemetery north of Winterset.
