Funeral services for Blanche May Ray of Winterset, were held today at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles. Mrs. Ray died at Bethesda Care Center in Winterset on Dec. 26. She was 88 years of age.
Born on Nov. 20, 1893 in Indianola, she was the daughter of Frank and Matilda Young Rumback. In 1915 she married Guy Ray in Warren County.
Mrs. Ray was educated in the St. Charles schools and belonged to the Calvary Baptist Church there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include a son, Max Ray of Des Moines; and a daughter Majel Miller of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Burial was at St. Charles with Pastor Doug Domokos officiating.
