Born and Spent Entire Life on Same Farm in Union Township
William Everett Hendricks, a life-long resident of Union township, died at his home there Thursday, Nov. 29, at the age of 75 years. He was born and spent his entire life on the farm where his death occurred.
Mr. Hendricks was a son of William and Clara Brighton Hendricks, and was born Sept. 22, 1881. He was married in 1905 to Edna Brown of Winterset. They were parents of three children. The wife and mother died on April 12, 1929. On July 8, 1944, he was married to Mary Smith Brayman.
He was a member of the Winterset Methodist church.
Surviving are his three children, Otto Hendricks of Winterset, Harold Hendricks of Estherville, and Mrs. Alma Bruett of Des Moines; three brothers, Ollie and Milo Hendricks of Winterset, and Lee Hendricks of Escanaba, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Tate of Washougal, Wash., and Mrs. Alta Stone of Promise City; two step-sons, Walter Brayman of Des Moines and John Brayman of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the North River E. U. B. cemetery.
