Freedette Leola Ramey, 87, of St. Charles, died of a heart ailment July 28, 1996 at her residence. Funeral services are today, July 31, 1996 at 10 a.m. at the St.Charles Parish Church, and will be officiated by the Rev. Ed Poston. Burial will be at the St. Charles Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 4, 1909 in Abbington, Va., to Robert and Letitia (Smith) Denton. She attended school at Denton Valley Community School in Va. She married Carl Edmond Ramey Feb. 1, 1930 in Rockport, Mo. She was a homemaker and a resident of St. Charles for 19 years. She was a member of several church organizations and was a member of the St. Charles Parish Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five sisters.
Surviving relatives include one son, George Ramey and wife Nancy of St. Charles; one daughter, Carleen Roberts and husband Jim of Van Meter; one sister, Wanda Young of Southerline, Ore.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Charles Parish Church.
