E. A. PULLMAN DIED TUESDAY

Funeral Services Scheduled Friday From Collins Funeral Home

Emerald A. Pullman, Sr., a resident of Madison county for 33 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Pullman was a native of Tennessee, where he was born March 9, 1883, at Fall Branch. His active life was spent in farming until his retirement when he moved to Winterset. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion.

He was married Sept. 2, 1922, at Shawnee, Okla, to Lena L. Senn, who survives him. He also leaves a son, E. A. Pullman, Jr., of Carlisle; five daughters, Winifred Pullman, Donna Pullman and Mrs. Robert Benson of Winterset, Mrs. Charmaine Stanley of Des Moines and Mrs. John Emery of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. H. C. Short, pastor of the Grace Baptist church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery, with military rites at the graveside by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
