Death Occurs at Age of 54 Years After Long Illness
Mrs. Mamie L. Jacobe, a long-time resident of Madison county, died Saturday, Oct. 20, at a St. Charles nursing home. She was 54 years of age. Her death ended a long illness.
Mrs. Jacobe was born in Madison county, Nov. 25, 1901, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Low. As a child she lived 10 years in Missouri, but the remainder of her life was spent in Madison county.
She was married to Lewis F. Jacobe March 23, 1920. He survives her. She also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Elosia M. Libby of St. Charles; three sons, Lewis E. Jacobe of Wichita, Kan., Delbert L. Jacobe of Dallas Center, and Delmer Jacobe of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
She was a member of the Winterset Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Fellowship church, conducted by the Rev. W. L. Headrick. Burial was made in the Union cemetery.
