Wednesday, October 17, 1956ALBERT EMERSON OF LORIMOR DIES
Albert Emerson, a long-time resident of the Lorimor community, died Oct. 4 at his farm home northwest of Lorimor. He was 71 years of age. He was found dead that evening in the barn on his farm by neighbors, and is thought to have been fatally stricken while doing the chores that morning.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Emerson; and eight children.
Funeral services were held Oct. 7 from the Lorimor Christian church conducted by the Rev. Ray Wilson. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

LORIMOR—Albert Emerson, who was in the 70s, was found dead in the barn at his farm, about six miles northwest of Lorimor last night. He had apparently been stricken while doing the chores.
His body was found by a neighbor, Clark Farlin. Mr. Emerson had been in poor health recently.
He is survived by his widow, Sadie; and eight children. They are Verne and Opal Emerson of Lorimor, Hazel, Mrs. Golda Lafollette and Everett in California, Charles in Kansas city, Mrs. William Clancy of Waterloo, and Lloyd, who has been visiting at home on furlough from the military service.
Funeral arrangements have not been made. His body is at the Watts funeral home at Lorimor.

LORIMOR—Funeral services for Albert Emerson, 71, will be held at the Christian church in Lorimor at 3 p. m. Sunday. Rev. Ray Wilson, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the cemetery at Peru, Ia. Mr. Emerson, who operated a farm five miles northwest of Lorimor, was found dead in the barn at his farm Thursday evening.
