Joseph Schaff Was Buried Wednesday - Former Winterset Resident Died in Kansas City, Missouri

Brief funeral rites were held here Wednesday for Joseph H. Schaff, former resident, who was brought here for burial in the Winterset cemetery. Mr. Schaff died Sunday at Kansas City, Missouri, where he had been making his home. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Schaff was born in Rochester, New York, on October 6, 1858. He was married to Ida L. Barnard, who died in April, 1914, while they were living in Winterset. They were the parents of two sons, Charles Edward Schaff, who died in December 1936 at Independence, Mo., and Walter E. Schaff, now living in Kansas City.

Mr. Schaff left this community about 20 years ago.
