Page 3Michael Hawk, an old gentleman residing in Webster township, died at his home last Friday, at the age of eighty years. He was the father of H. H. Hawk, of the same township, and the late J. T. Hawk, of Jackson township. For some years he resided in Winterset, but later removed to his farm in Webster township, where he resided until his death. Mr. Hawk was a man of quaint, old-fashioned ways, but a man of the most sterling integrity, and recognized Christian character. The particulars of his life, except the brief facts here given, are not known to us.
