Funeral services for Dale I. Potter, 71, of Indianola were held Saturday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Potter died last Wednesday at his home after a long illness. Born in Madison County, he lived in Burbank, California and worked as a salesman for Helms Bakery before and after World War II. Then he farmed near St. Charles for thirty years before moving to Indianola four years ago.
He was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving him are his wife, Cleona, and a son, Roy, of Ankeny; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Lang of Sun Valley, California; Mrs. Janice Goss of Huntington Beach, California; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Jack Potter of Glendale, California; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Ray of Leisure World, California and Mrs. Shirley Wildin of Winterset.
