1965FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN WYOMING
Jesse E. Poindexter, a former Madison county resident, died Oct. 1, at Laramie, Wyoming where he had lived for many years. He was 83 years of age.
Mr. Poindexter was born Jan. 6, 1881 in Illinois, a son of Charles and Lucinda Poindexter. He was married in Madison county in 1906 to Edna H. Chilcote, who survives him. They left Madison county in 1916 and lived several years at Dix, Nebr. He had lived at Laramie since 1932.
Mr. Poindexter was a signal maintainer for the Union Pacific railroad.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Charles W. Poindexter of Laramie; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Nelson of San Carlos, Calif., Mrs. Mildred Baker of Mission, Kan., Mrs. Vera Kane of San Dimas, Calif., and Mrs. Reva Johnson of Dix, Nebr.; two brothers, Ray Poindexter of Denver, Colo., and Neil Poindexter of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Flossie Boyce of Winterset.
Funeral services and burial were held at Laramie.
