Was Life-Long Resident of Grand River Township
Edward F. Platt, life-long resident of Grand River township, died at his home five miles northwest of Macksburg early this morning. He had been ill for several weeks.
Mr. Platt, who was born in Grand River township 67 years ago, is survived by his wife, the former Julia Low and three children, Mrs. Hazel Harden, Paul Platt and Mrs. Maxine Hoepker. He also leaves two grandsons, Gerald Harden and Bruce Platt; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Edwards; a brother, Roy Platt; and a half brother, T. C. Phillips of Winterset.
Funeral services will be held at Wesley Chapel.

Funeral services for Edward F. Platt of Grand River township, whose death occurred Nov. 2 at his home, were held last Friday from the Wesley Chapel church.
The services were conducted by the Rev. B. F. Hamilton and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
