Services for Letha M. Pindell, 93, Creston, who died April 1 at Greater Community Hospital in Creston, were held Friday, April 3 at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg with the Rev. Charlie Morrow officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery near Macksburg.
Born Feb. 10, 1894, in Webster township of Madison County, she was the daughter of Otho and Mary Johnston Witt. She was married to E. A. "Allie" Pindell on Sept. 28, 1913 at Macksburg.
She lived in Macksburg until moving to rural Creston in 1952 and then to Creston in 1973. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Macksburg and the WRC of Macksburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Needham and husband Robert of Afton; a son John M. of Knoxville; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.
