Daniel B. Peed Died Thursday

Funeral services were held here last Saturday for Daniel B. Peed of Winterset, who died at University Hospitals in Iowa City on Thursday February 27. He was 74 years of age.

Daniel Boone Peed was born in Melbourne, Kan. on September 12, 1900, the son of Richard and Christina Eggleston Peed. He resided in Madison County most of his lifetime.

A mechanic, Mr. Peed worked for many years with Winterset service stations and tank wagon services. He also worked for a short time with a citrus factory in Lakeland, Fla.

Mr. Peed was preceded in death by his wife, Della, in 1970. He is survived by three aunts: Mrs. Mary Clark of Winterset, Mrs. Lavisa Gentry of Kirkwood, Mo., and Mrs. Mahala McDonald of KoshKonong , Mo.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
