Wednesday, May 14, 1952Samuel Warren Snyder, member of a pioneer Winterset family, died at a nursing home in Winterset Sunday, May 11, at the age of 83 years.
He was born in Winterset, May 15, 1888, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Snyder. His father was a pioneer Winterset merchant. The son was employed here for many years in the Seldier creamery.
He is survived by his son, Charles Snyder of Arlington Heights, Ill., and his daughter, Mrs. Bessie Landers of Denver, Colo. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Clara Young and Mrs. Jessie Mardis, both of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Anderson's funeral home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. J. D. Stevens of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
