Albena Ann Darr, 93, of CLC Polk City died of complications of the flu there Monday. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial at Polk City Cemetery.

Mrs. Darr was born in Colfax and had lived in the Polk City area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Marlin of Johnston, Frank of Fort Dodge and Laverne of Winterset; four sisters, Mary Schnathorst of Des Moines, Margaret McDaniel of Polk City, Millie Zoutte of Knoxville and Jenny Woodrow of Newton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
