June Paullin, Winterset

Evelyn June Paullin, 72, of Winterset died of lung cancer July 19, 2001 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

June Paullin was born June 18, 1929 to William and Faun (Haines) Hulin of Stanhope. She married Wayne Paullin on Sept. 30, 1946, in Troy, Kan. Having spent most of her life in Winterset, June had been a cook for the Winterset Community Schools for 25 years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Winterset; a son, Bob Paullin (wife Loretta) of Winterset; a daughter, Judie Whiting of Redfield; three sisters, Jean Libby of Streator, Ill., Thelma Kirkman of Redfield and Jane Drake of Dexter; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
