Beatrice Welcome Patterson, 87 of Des Moines died of pneumonia Dec. 26, 1998 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Dec. 30) at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Graveside services also were held today at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
Beatrice Patterson was born Feb. 19, 1911 in Lorimor to Harry and Eva (Littlefield) Gray. She was educated in the Lorimor school system. She married Harold Patterson on May 26, 1928 in Winterset. A homemaker, she lived on a farm near Truro until 1974, when she moved to Des Moines. Beatrice was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Congregational United Church of Christ, both at Truro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Patterson (wife Georgia) of Des Moines; one grandson; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ in Truro.
