MORTUARY

Edna Adeline, daughter of Nathan and Defia Brown was born March 31, 1884, near What Cheer, Keokuk county, Iowa, and departed this life April 12, 1929, at the age of forty-five years and twelve days. She moved with her parents to Madison county in 1901, where she had since resided.

She was married to William Everett Hendricks, March 21, 1905, at Winterset. To this union three sons and one daughter were born: Otto Lavell, Harold Everett; Alma Rose, and one son, dying in infancy. They, with the husband, remain to mourn her loss. She also leaves five sisters and four brothers.

In her early youth she united with and was baptized in the Christian church of Springfield, Iowa. After moving to Madison county she united with the North River U. B. church and later united with the Church of Christ at Winterset.

Edna, as her friends all knew her, had a kind and loving disposition and was always ready to help those who were in need. She was a kind, loving, helpful wife and mother. She was a great lover of home and her constant thoughts were of her family. She told her family and friends that she was ready to meet her God and not afraid to go, although she felt the great need of her presence here with her family. All that kind and loving hands and medical aid could do was done, but our great loss is Heaven’s gain.
