Funeral services for Lee Palmer of Winterset will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist Church in Macksburg with burial in the Moon Cemetery.
Mr. Palmer, 80, died at Madison County Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning.

Page 13, Column 4Lee Palmer Dies At Age 80
Lee Palmer died last Tuesday, July 25, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. He was a retired farmer living the past 46 years on a farm near Macksburg, until he moved to Winterset in 1970.
Mr. Palmer was born September 13, 1891 at Carbon, Iowa, the son of Joshua and Amanda Bunell Palmer. He was married to Ethel McKinney on February 23, 1916 in Creston.
Besides his wife, Mr. Palmer is survived by four children: Mrs. Ray Howard, of Runnells, Mrs. Richard Goad of Panorama City, California, Donald Palmer of Winterset and Max Palmer of Lorimor, and two sisters: Mrs. Florence Brooks of Medford, Oregon and Mrs. Clark Eatinger of Milwaukee, Oregon.
The funeral was held last Thursday afternoon at the Macksburg Methodist Church with the Rev. Willis Grant in charge. Burial was made at the Moon Cemetery near Macksburg.
