Hazel Florence Irene Dickey Osgood, 95, of Osceola died April 6, 2000 of heart and respiratory failure at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Burial of the cremains was at Booneville Cemetery where a private family gathering was held.

Hazel Osgood was born Sept. 7, 1904 to William and Eliza (DeMoss) Pickett of Goldendale, Wash. She was educated in the Des Moines schools. She married George Dickey on Oct. 10, 1922 in Des Moines. Mr. Dickey died in 1977. She later married Marvin Osgood on Dec. 9, 1979 in Truro. Hazel, a homemaker and resident of Truro for many years, had been a cook for the Interstate 35 School District and a hotel maid in Vancouver, Wash. She had resided in Osceola since 1995. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Truro and most recently was affiliated with the Baptist Church in Osceola. She also had been a member of the Thursday Girls Quilting Group in Truro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a son, a brother, five sisters and three sons-in-law.

She is survived by her husband Marvin of Osceola; two daughters, Lois Dickey Witt of Truro and Arlene Dickey Plaschko of Apple Valley, Minn.; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
