Agnes Ordahl, St. Charles

Agnes Belle Ordahl, 91, of St. Charles, died of complications of a stroke August 23, 1997 at Community Care of Winterset. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, Augsut 27, at 10 a.m. at the St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Ed Poston officiating. Burial will follow at the Blair Chapel Cemetery in St. Charles.

She was born in Greene County on August 21, 1906 to Parley and Rose Etta ( Stone) Banks.

She married Oscar Theodore Ordahl in Benson, Minn. on March 20, 1935. She was a homemaker and worked at the St. Charles Senior Citizen Meal Site. She lived on a farm near Benson, Minn., until 1960, and later moved to St. Charles in 1973. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; three sisters; and one brother-in-law.

Surviving relatives include one sister, Irene Durbala of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters-in-law, Mabel Banks of Winterset, Alice Banks of Kenosha, Wis., Phyllis Banks of Whapenton, N. D.; two brothers in law, Glenn Estey of Des Moines, Mel and wife Lenore Berg of Winterset; and special friends, the children and grandchildren of Violet Cunningham.
