Paul O'Neal Died Thursday

Paul D. O'Neal, who had served as a blacksmith and welder in Winterset for 40 years, died Thursday, February 22 at Madison Manor South after an extended illness. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. O'Neal was a native of Talmage where he was born July 25, 1909, a son of Charles and Lettie May O'Neal. The family moved to Winterset in 1925.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Mr. O'Neal was married January 9, 1943 to Margaret Donahue of Winterset. Her death occurred December 22, 1972.

Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Darrel O'Neal of Mitchell, South Dakota; and three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Abrahams of Keokuk, Mrs. Olive Palmer and Mrs. Ruth Jones, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Sturday from the Collins Funeral Home here, in charge of the Rev. Walter Samp of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
