ALBERTINA STORCK DIES AT 82 YEARS

Funeral services were held January 3 from Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township for Albertina Lucy Storck, life-long resident of the DeSoto community, whose death occurred Dec. 31, at her home.

Miss Storck was 82 years of age at her death. She was a daughter of George and Henrietta Storck, and was born April 4, 1873 at their home south of DeSoto. She graduated from the DeSoto high school, and entered the teaching profession, serving in that capacity over a long period of years in schools in and near DeSoto. In later years she served as a clerk in various business establishments.

She was active in the Lutheran church, where she had received the rite of confirmation in 1886. She was a Sunday school teacher there for 30 years.

She is survived by a sister, Fernanda Storck, and two brothers, Paul and Walter Storck, all of the DeSoto community, and four nephews.

Rites for Lucy Storck

The funeral services for Miss Lucy Storck were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan 3 at 2 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church near DeSoto. The minister who officiated was the pastor, Rev. C. G. Meyer. The Fisher Funeral service had charge of arrangements.

Music was furnished by soloist, Delores Womeldorf, with Roberta Meyers accompanist.

The casket bearers were Grant Martens, Emmett Hartz, Alfred Koch, Julius Jensen, Herman Neindorf and Lee Jamison.

Assisting with the flowers were Mrs. W. E. Martens, Mrs. L. W. Martens and Mrs. Fred Martens.

Miss Storck, daughter of the late George and Henrietta Storck, was a long time resident on a farm south of DeSoto.

She was born April 4, 1873, and passed away Dec. 31, 1955, after a long illness.

In her early youth she was a school teacher and at one time she held a position in the DeSoto school.

She also had a talent for business and later in life she held a position for a number of years in the White Hardware store in Van Meter.

She is survived by two brothers Paul and Walter and a sister Fernanda, all of near DeSoto, other relatives and a host of friends.

Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery.
