MORTUARY

Emily J. Purdum, daughter of John M. and Amanda C. Purdum was born in Illinois, October 3, 1850. She was united in marriage with William R. Fort November 12, 1870. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. One daughter and the husband having preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and one daughter, Roy Fort of Des Moines, Murl Fort and Mrs. Lillian Smith of Patterson. One brother John H. Purdum of Cleveland, Ohio, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of friends. The angel of death came to relieve her earthly trials Sunday, November 27 aged 82 years one month and twenty-four days.

Mrs. Fort shall be sadly missed as she was a kind sympathetic mother, dutiful and a true friend.
