MORTUARY

Thomas Elmer Feely, formerly of Madison county, passed away at his home at 2388 Holly Street, Denver, Colorado, November 25, 1932. He was born in Scott township, Madison county, Iowa, December 27, 1868. His parents were Rev. Thomas and Roseann Feely. Many of the older generation will remember Rev. Thomas Feely as an old time Methodist minister.

April 6th, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Clara Orr, daughter of George and Katherine Orr, who were favorably and extensively known throughout Madison county. Mr. Feely spent his life near the place of his birth until 1911, when he with his family moved to Colorado, where they lived for five years when they returned to the old Iowa home. After a few years, the sunshine, the azure sky and that great handiwork of the Creator, the mountains again lured them to Colorado.

Mr. Feely is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Beulah McBride and Mrs. Josephine F. Doane of Denver and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Harrell, Hastings, Nebraska and Mrs. Myrtle Orr of Winterset.

He was for sometime employed by the Globe Bank of Denver, but of later years and until his decease he was in the employ of the Industrial Building and Loan association of Denver.

His illness was very brief, pneumonia, prior to which he had enjoyed excellent health. Interment is made at beautiful Fairmont cemetery at Denver.
