Marjorie Neva Oglesbee, Winterset

Marjorie Neva Oglesbee, 86, of Winterset died of congestive heart failure Friday, Feb. 27, 1998 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held Monday, March 2, at the Church of the Nazarene in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery.

Marjorie was born March 22, 1911 in Madison County, Iowa to John Wesley and Myrtle Lenore Miller Huss. On Dec. 30, 1928, Marjorie married Paul Oglesbee in Madison County. She was a lifetime resident of Madison County and was a retired nursing assistant.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one daughter, two brothers, six sisters, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Mack Oglesbee (wife Sue) of Mercer, Mo., and Paul Wayne Oglesbee (wife Lora) of Winterset; four daughters, Margaret Libby (husband Dale) of West Plains, Mo., Dorothy Libby (husband Ernie) of St. Charles, Eleanor Carpenter of Winterset and Madge Meisters (husband Dave) of Altoona; a sister, Gladys Kivett of New Market, Tenn.; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the Church of the Nazarene, also of Winterset.
