Robert William Adcock, son of William and Charlotte Adcock was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England, September 17, 1869. He departed this life, December 26, 1932, at the age of 63 years, three months and nine days.
When but 7 years of age, he came to this country and has resided in Madison county until his death. On January 18, 1893, he was united in marriage to Rose Emma Sheldon.
To this union were born seven children: Glen of Lorimor, Elver of Anderson, Indiana, Mrs. Grace Loomis of Macksburg, Mrs. Ethel Shrock of Hubbard, Oregon, and Miss Amy, Wilbur and Dale still in the home.
All are present except one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Shrock of Hubbard, Oregon.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his immediate family, four grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends. He was a loving husband and father, and will be greatly missed by all. He was patient throughout his long illness and his greatest concern seemed to be for his family and others.
The Rev. J. H. Harrington of Anasonia, Missouri, conducted his funeral services Wednesday afternoon, December 28th, and burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
