MORTUARY

John Frankland Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson was born March 15, 1867, on a farm near Gravity, Iowa, and grew to manhood near that place.

In 1890 he was married to Miss Hanna Gunderman of near Gravity. To this union were born five children. One boy, Jessie, passed on in childhood. Those remaining are Mrs. Pyrle Lewis, Moline, Illinois; Mrs. Gladis Stoddard, Des Moines; Ray of Los Angeles, California; Earl of Winterset, and ten grandchildren.

Mr. Peterson united with the M.E. church when a young man, and in later life gave much of his time to its work. Following the death of his wife, twelve years ago, he has made his home among his children. The last year has been spent with his daughter at Des Moines, where he passed away December 15th, 1932, aged 65 years and nine months.

Funeral services were held from Ramsey-Richards funeral home December 17th. They were conducted by the Rev. A. R. Weed, pastor of the West Star church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
