VAN METER, IA.-Services for Mari Josephine Niendorf, 87, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Van Meter, who died Thursday of a stroke at an Indianapolis nursing home, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church near here. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Niendorf was born near Waukee, and lived in Van Meter most of her life. She moved to Indianapolis eight months ago. Under the pen name of Sandra Ames, she wrote a column for the Earlham Echo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Iowa Presswomen's Association.
Survivors include one son, Bill of Indianapolis; two sisters, Carrie Addy and Eva Rogan, both of Winterset; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
Friends may visit after 2 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter.
