1966ROBERT NIELSEN DIES AT 34 YEARS
Veteran of Korean War Had Been Invalid During Recent Years
Robert H. Nielsen of Winterset died this Tuesday, Jan. 4, at a Des Moines hospital, after years of failing health. He was 34 years of age.
A veteran of the Korean war, Mr. Nielsen had been in failing health since that time. He had been an invalid in recent years, cared for at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nielsen of Winterset.
He was a native of Bridgewater, where he was born April 11, 1931, a son of Herman and Florence Hardisty Nielsen. Madison county had been his home for the last 10 years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Grand Junction, Colo.
In addition to his parents, he leaves two brothers, Elmer J. Nielsen of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Larry E. Nielsen of St. Louis, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Lela Bost of Monterey Park, Calif., Mrs. Marjorie Martin of Silex, Mo., Mrs. Dorothy Burch of Des Moines and Mrs. Zelpha Turner of Columbia, Mo.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Winterset Four Square church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Charles Updike. Burial will be made in the Fontanelle cemetery.
