MRS. MARY NICHOLS DIES IN DES MOINES

Mrs. Mary Nichols of Des Moines died suddenly Saturday at a nursing home there, of a heart attack. She was 79 years of age.

Mrs. Nichols was the eldest daughter of the late Sam and Victoria Johnson and spent her early life in Union township.

She is survived by a son Clinton Burnham of Des Moines and a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Putney of California, two grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Clark Simmons of Winterset and Mrs. Laura Taylor of Medford, Oregon, and three brothers, Byron Johnson and Lester Johnson of Winterset and Wesley Johnson of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held from Dahlstrom's Funeral home in Des Moines Tuesday afternoon with burial at Laurel Hill cemetery.
