JEAN ANN ABBOTT

Jean Ann Abbott, 51, of Ankeny, died July 5, 2003 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A Celebration of Live service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8 at Westchester Evangelical Free Church in Des Moines. Graveside services are 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Elkhart Cemetery in rural Elkhart.

Jean was born in Winterset on April 12, 1952. She graduated from Ankeny High School in 1970 and had worked in the warehouse return department at Maurice’s Distribution Center. Jean was a member of Westchester Evangelical Free Church in Des Moines.

She is survived by her parents, Lowell and Norma Wilkinson of Ankeny; her husband, Tom Abbott of Ankeny; two daughters, Jill Abbott of Ankeny and Shawna Woodford of Elkhart; a son-in-law, Charlie Woodford; and a grandson, Klyle Woodford of Elkhart.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 7 at Ankeny Funeral Home in Ankeny.
