ROBERT RAY, Missouri

Robert G. Ray, 85, of Branson, Mo., died Nov. 12, 2006, at Point Lookout Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Snapps-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson with Pastor David Nordyke officiating.

Bob Ray was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Peru. After graduation from high school, he attended the Des Moines School of Cosmetology and later owned a beauty shop in Winterset for over 30 years. Bob also served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Following basic training at Camp Dodge, he worked as a dental lab technician at O’Reilly General Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He had been a resident of Branson since 1979.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Dean Ray.

He is survived by his wife, Millie (Maxwell) Ray of Branson, Mo.; four sons, Robert Michael Ray of Kimberling City, Mo., Douglas Lee Ray of Clever, Mo., Mark Steven Ray of Post Falls, Idaho, and Daniel Scott Ray of Hickory Creek, Texas; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
