Clifford Low, Osceola

Clifford Allen Low, 72, of Osceola, died of a heart ailment July 4, 1995 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were July 7 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. The Rev. Neville Clayton officiated the services and burial was at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

He was born Nov. 9, 1922 in Madison County to Harvey and Nora (Switzer) Low. He married Betty Hylton on Nov. 17, 1940 in Bethany, Mo. He had retired as a meat cutter at Osceola’s Locker in 1985. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He was also a past Commander of the American Legion Post 69.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; his father-in-law, and one son-in-law.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two daughters, Judy Mason and husband Larry of Osceola, and Terrie Kemp and fiancée Ed Nelson of Winterset; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
