Elmer Hazen was born November 5, 1868, and died February 12, at the home of his cousin, Carl Hazen. He was a member of the M. E. church and lived a good upright life, and died trusting in the Lord as his Saviour. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Douglas, of Valley Junction, and one brother, Harley, to mourn their loss. Funeral was held at Chapel church, preached by Rev. Wadkins, of the M. E. church of Van Meter.
