Wednesday, April 13, 1994Margaret L. "Peggy" Algreen Swenson, 82, of Geneva, Neb., died April 10, 1994 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Geneva, Neb. Services will be today, Wed., April 13, 1994 at 2 p.m. at the Farmer and Son Funeral Home in Geneva with the Pastor Stephen Fulks and Mr. Ted Mountjoy officiating. Graveside services will be held in Jackson Township at the Pitzer Cemetery on Thursday April 14, 1994 at 1 p.m.
She was born in Des Moines on July 29, 1911 to Roy and Myrtle (Spencer) Caldwell. She married Floyd Bechtel in 1934. In 1942 she married Bill Algreen at Atchison, Kansas. He passed away March 4, 1977 and on December 12, 1982, she married Orville Swenson in Davenport, Neb. She was employed in defense plants in California and Colorado and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Geneva, Neb.
She was preceded in death by two husbands.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Lee Ellen Splain and Peggy Algreen, both of Fountain, Colo.; one brother, Howard Ford of Dexter; one sister, Frances Simcoke of Stuart; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and the Orville Swenson family.
