Marlin Nealley, Irving, Texas

A graveside funeral service was held Saturday, May 8, at the Last Chance Cemetery in Clarke County for Marlin Hoyt Nealley of Irving Texas, a former Madison County resident who died May 4 at Irving Community Hospital. He was 80 years old.

Born in Earlham on May 18, 1901, he was the son of Ludlow and Sadie Lingfelter Nealley.

He received his education in Madison County schools and in 1926 married Camilla Pearcy. Two sons were born to the couple.

A salesman by occupation, Mr. Nealley retired in 1966. In 1974 he moved to Texas to be near his son, Rex.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Harky.

Survivors include his wife Camilla; son Rex of Irving; a brother Cleo of Bucyrus, Ohio; a sister, Esther Cook of Brownston, Wis.; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Marlin Nealley Dies in Texas

Marlin Hoyt Nealley, 80, died at the Irving Community Hospital in Irving, Texas on Tuesday, May 4, 1982. Graveside services were conducted May 8 at Last Chance Cemetery in Clarke County with the Rev. Roy Ives of Osceola officiating at the interment rites at 11 a.m.

Marlin Hoyt Nealley was born in Earlham, Iowa on May 18, 1901, son of Ludlow L. Nealley and Sadie Lingfelter Nealley. He attended schools in Madison County and in 1926, married Camilla Pearcy. He was a salesman for a drug company. He was affiliated with a non-denomination church in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Camilla Nealley of Irving, Texas, son, Rex Nealley and wife, Sherry of Irving, Texas, brother, Cleo Nealley of Bucyrus, Ohio, sister, Esther Cook of Brownstown, Wisconsin, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Harry.
