John Dennis Neal, 41, of Winterset died Dec. 17, 1995 at Macon, Georgia. An autopsy is pending. A funeral mass will be held Dec. 22 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery. A Rosary service will be Thursday, at 6 p.m. at the St. Joseph's Church Hall in Winterset. Scripture service will be at 7 p.m.
He was born in Des Moines and had lived most of his life in Winterset. He was special education teacher.
Surviving relatives include his father, Carl Neal of Winterset; five brothers, Brian Neal of Winterset, Patrick and Mark Neal of Des Moines, Thomas Neal of Indianola and Kevin Neal of Jefferson; and three sisters, Theresa Owens of Des Moines, Cecilia Gass of Des Moines, and Mary Halvorsen of Cave Junction, Ore.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Elizabeth Corkrean Neal Endowed Financial Aid fund at the Dowling High School in Des Moines.
