Sher Yvonne Schroeder, 47, of Earlham died March 31, 2000, at home. The cause of death is unknown, pending an autopsy.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 4, at Peace Lutheran Church, rural Adel. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Sher Schroeder was born in Virginia and had lived in London and Iceland before moving to Earlham eight years ago. She was a retired computer consultant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Sher was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas; a daughter, Celeste Schroeder of Lure, N.C.; her mother, Mary Sheppard of Tallmadge, Ohio; a sister, Mary Zimmerman of Bird Island, Minn.; a brother, James Bonham of Waco, Texas; two half sisters, Jo Ann Wiese of Peninsula, Ohio, and Betty Flavel of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and a grandchild.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham.
